We’re excited to announce that on June 19th, the OneLogin Admin console will reveal a fresh new look and feel. This update is part of a larger effort to modernize and simplify the administration experience. The new look and feel is the advent of that change, with additional functionality to be released in the coming months.
The updated Admin console has been in early preview since the beginning of 2019. It has been tested by nearly 100 customers from multiple industries, geographies, and company sizes. The collaboration, feedback, and ideas gathered were outstanding. Many ideas were considered and implemented in our final product, while others will be implemented in future releases. As the product manager of this project, I would like to personally thank all of our customers who participated in the Early Preview program. I hope you found this collaboration to be enjoyable and rewarding.
So, what has changed?
The overall design of the admin console has been modernized. It now includes a new layout, responsive design, and a new style guide (i.e. icons, colors, and fonts).
Navigation
The top navigation menu was reorganized, resulting in a more intuitive top list of categories. All existing options are still available. We’ve just moved a few things based on customer feedback.
The navigational back arrow has been updated to reflect a breadcrumb-like structure. The navigation between different tabs is now a navigation sidebar.
Help & Tool-tips
We now make inline tool-tips for fields and pages easier to find and read.
Lists & Search
The list view of resource types has been unified in terms of looks and feel. Additional work is planned to introduce search and pagination in a unified way.
Last but not least, the management of apps with numerous entitlements has been revised. This is especially important for applications like G-Suite and Office 365, where the number of app groups is frequently in the thousands. The new user experience includes a typeahead search dropdown and table to manage the selected value.
Summary
The new look and feel for the OneLogin Admin console will be officially released on June 19th. The refreshed look uses a more modern, responsive design language that we will use across the product. Additional incremental improvements will be released in the coming months.
